.: Clearing The Air On EPF Nominees :.

Employer Provision Funds (EPF) or in Bahasa Malaysia, Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP) has cleared the air with regards to EPF nominees during the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers meeting with EPF recently. One of the members had enquired about the above said matter and below is the reply obtained from EPF:

If a member has more than one nominee and one of the nominees dies during the member’s lifetime, only the portion that was bequeathed to the deceased nominee will be invalid.

Should the member later dies without updating his nomination, the other nominees will receive their portion accordingly. Only the portion that was bequeathed to the deceased nominee will be subject to procedures under ‘EPF savings without nomination’ in which the first priority for the right to claim the member's savings goes to the appointed administrator of the deceased member’s estate.

Therefore it is not true that if you, as a member, have named more than one nominee, the entire nomination will be void if one of the nominee dies before you. It follows however that if you have named only one nominee and he or she dies before you, the nomination will be void unless a new beneficiary is nominated.

Please note that you don’t have to produce the death certificate of a deceased nominee to change your nomination. You can change/update your nomination anytime by simply completing a new KWSP 4 (AHL) Form. This will automatically revoke any earlier nomination made.

The information concerning approaching EPF counter within 3 days to avoid EPF savings being ‘surrendered to Amanah Raya’ if no nomination is made or if nominee dies at the same time as the member is not true.

Depending on the amount of savings in the member’s account, if there is no nomination the procedure will be as follows:

If member’s EPF savings are less than RM25,000:

Ø Initial sum of RM2,500 will be paid to the next of kin.
Ø The balance will be paid after a two-month period from the date of the member’s death.

If member’s EPF savings are more than RM25,000:

Ø Initially a sum of RM2,500 will be paid to the next of kin.
Ø The second payment (not more than RM17,500) will be paid to the next of kin after two months from the date of the member’s death.

The balance of the savings will be paid upon submitting the Letter of Administration/Grant of Probate/Distribution Order/Faraid Certificate from the party that administers estates such as Amanah Raya Berhad or the Court or the Land Office, respectively. The process to obtain these documents is time-consuming and certain fees will also need to be paid. On the other hand, with nomination, no fees need to be paid.

This is precisely why nominating is very important. You should also ensure that you update your beneficiary whenever there is any major life changes such as marriage, additional new members or the death of a nominated beneficiary.

.: I Am That Girl :.

I am that girl who is grateful for everything, but also,
I am that girl who is never satisfied with anything.
I am that girl wants to take all the chances and risks but also,
I am that girl who always comes back to taking the safest route.
I am that girl who seeks for adventure, yet also,
I am that girl that is least adaptable to changes.
I am that girl who preaches of happiness and joy to friends, yet also,
I am that girl who suffers alone in silence.
I am that girl who says “thank you” to the cashiers or the toll collectors, yet also,
I am that girl whose tongue freezes in saying “I love you” to the people she loves most.
I am that girl who is a phlegmatic most of the time, but also,
I am that girl who bears all the world burden on her small shoulder, but too,
I am that girl who just wants to sit in front of the TV & watch cartoons all day.
I am that girl who can be a sanguine, choleric and melancholy when situation calls.
I am that girl who takes pride in her work, yet
I am that girl who easily loses interest in it.
I am that girl who loves to be spontaneous, but also,
I am that girl that needs a Plan B (and a Plan C just in case!)
I am that girl who tries to be superwoman and save the world, yet
I am that girl who can't navigate from Point A to Point B
I am that girl who have memories of when she was only three, but then,
I am that girl who can actually forget things that people don't - like riding a bike.
I am that girl who can smile, laugh and be carefree on the outside, but also,
I am that girl who worries, bleeds & cries on the inside.
I am that girl who knows the ins & outs of her best friends, but at the same time,
I am that girl who doesn't even understand her own-self.

I am that girl and I am who I am.

MAY 28 — My wife and I met while we were studying overseas. After graduating, I returned to Malaysia while she completed her studies and eventually returned two years later. We started our careers and eventually got married and started our family. It never crossed our minds to settle anywhere else other than Malaysia. In university, I was active in the students’ movement and was determined that when I returned I would make a difference in my country.

That was 20 years ago.

Five years later, my brother decided to migrate. Deep inside I was angry and thought that he was foolish. He was an engineer with two degrees and an MBA, and he was seeking greener pastures? Well, he can leave… but no sir, I will stay and make this place I grew up a better place.

Another 12 years passed, and this time it was my sister’s family who was leaving. What? A family of medical professionals leaving? Even a specialist within their midst who won international awards and accolades for research papers, and they are turning their backs on us here? They earn tonnes more than me and they are worried they cannot afford their children’s education? Why don’t they stay here and together we will change the system and make this a better place? There are already so few of us left here to change the system and THEY ARE LEAVING!!?? Well they can go, but I will stay and soldier on…

Another three years passed; last week my wife downloaded an application form for migration. My hands trembled even as I held the form. Is this finally going to be the path I take? The form states that if I am over 45 I will not qualify! This is my final year!

This is my family’s last call… after this, we will not be welcomed even if we want to go. My heart sank. My wife and I had a heart-to-heart talk. We are middle-class professionals with no big businesses or wealth of any significance to be inherited by our children.

Our next generation will need a strong education foundation to start them off. They are doing well enough in school, not geniuses, but still in the best class and with good prospects for good careers if given a fair chance.

We have heard stories from friends and neighbours of children getting 9As and were asked to do geography when they wanted to be engineers. Were offered history when they wanted to do law. They had to go private. We are resigned to the fact that we will likely have to privately fund our own children’s education.

I looked at my bank account. Have I saved enough to put my children through private education? Not really… maybe partially. Will my children be able to get full A+s to get scholarships? Unlikely. Is my income low enough to be considered poor so that my children will qualify for underprivileged scholarships? I don’t think so. Is my skin “brown” enough for my children to get a “Bumi” quota? Sorry, wrong place.

Today I look into the mirror and I see grey hairs. My vision is beginning to blur. I have to change to a presbyopia specs soon. I switched on the computer and clicked on The Malaysian Insider — I see the face of Ibrahim Ali shouting. I looked out of the window, I see people queuing up in a petrol station nearby. I see Makcik Som selling nasi lemak, just as she has always done for so many years. Twenty years have passed.

I am tired. The prickly durian spirit of yesteryear has been worn down to a smooth watermelon. No longer prickly, no longer pungent. Am I giving up? No! Definitely not. But what about my children? Must they also sacrifice for my cause?

Yes, I have decided to put in my application, to give my children a fair chance. But I will stay, because I have a dream. A 20-year-old dream. I will settle my children overseas and I will return to make that difference that I dreamt of… If I don’t realise that dream at least my children won’t have to dream that same dream for their children. Ibrahim Ali may not like my children, but I do … enough to stop dreaming for a while.

Call me a traitor, pengkhianat, pendatang, pengkhayal or whatever. Maybe I don’t have enough faith in what I am doing. But I will leave for little while and I’ll be back. I am thankful that my great-grandfather came to Malaya for his children. Perhaps my generation will be the last generation here, but I will stay as long as I can.

Recently, I read an article about socialism that gave an analogy of an economics professor and his class. The class insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be too rich or too poor in such a system.

So the professor proposed that they experiment socialism in the class. All grades in their next test would be averaged so that no one would fail and no one would do extremely well.

After the next test, the entire class achieved an average of “B”. The students who studied were a little unhappy while those who did not were elated. By and large everyone accepted the situation because they passed.

As the second test approached, those who had studied previously worked a little less, while those who previously did not study did not see why they should study, afterall they still passed. So by the second test the average results was a “D”. Everyone was unhappy now.

By the third test, the average was an “F”. The scores never increased and everyone started bickering, name-calling and this resulted in animosity towards one another. Classes were disrupted and studies affected.

To their surprise, everyone failed in the next test. The professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that. You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

I believe our country is now at a crossroads. My father’s generation was at point “B” where everyone passed and managed an average score of “B” like in the professor’s class — by and large it was tolerable and everyone accepted the situation.

Today we are probably at an average score “D”. Things are not going that well and our country is not doing as well as it should. We are losing out to our neighbours. A lot of people are unhappy. People are starting to bicker. So where do we move from here? Point “F”?

I still hold on to my 20-year-old dream, so I will stay… but if I turn out to be a daydreamer then at least my children don’t have to live in their father’s daydream.

I felt so sad after reading this. I can really relate to him. Even tho I already am an Australian PR, Malaysia has and will always be my home, my tanah air! I never wanted to leave, but as he says, where do we move from here? Point F? Sigh.

.: Cinnamon Raisin Muffin :.

I was thinking of making a dozen of so of the yummeh Cinnamon Raisin Muffin, when I realized that I have not posted the recipe on my blog. I’ve actually used this recipe before, and am very pleased with the outcome of it, so again, another keeper.

There is just something about cinnamon that I just cannot resist. When I made a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies last Chinese New Year, I modified the recipe by adding a sprinkle of cinnamon powder, and boy oh boy, it’s really like sprinkling magic dust, coz it just made the cookies a tad bit better. Oh, and the smell of your baked goodies whiffing thru your kitchen, the smell of cinnamon just stands out.

So it’s no surprise that this cupcake is very quickly snapped by my brother & Tammie when they were at my place (and didn't save even a piece for Rachel dear!)

Anyways, here’s the recipe to share:

Cinnamon Raisin Muffins
Makes 12 large or 16 medium sized muffins

Ingredients

3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
3/4 cup granulated sugar
57g (half a stick) unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs
170g plain yogurt
1/4 cup applesauce* (alt is to use apple flavored yogurt, which gives the same flavor as the applesauce would)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Method:

1) Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line a muffin pan with paper liners and set aside. Mix together 1/2 cup brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins in a small bowl and set aside.

2) Place granulated sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl. Beat until well blended, about 2 minutes. Add eggs, yogurt, applesauce, and vanilla to bowl. Mix until well combined, about 2 more minutes. Slowly add flour to bowl, mixing well as you go. Add baking soda, baking powder, and salt to batter and continue mixing until combined.

3) Set the batter aside. Pour brown sugar raisin mixture on top of batter and lightly fold into batter using a spatula or wooden spoon. You should only fold this 3 or 4 times - you don't want to incorporate it into the batter too much – it should have a marbling like-effect.

4) Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each one about 2/3 full (the muffin will rise when it’s baked, so don’t fill a full cup okay?). Sprinkle on top each muffin evenly with the remaining 1/4 cup of brown sugar.

5) Bake for 15-18 minutes, checking for doneness after 15 minutes. Muffins are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 2-3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.

* If you are a tad bit adventurous, I reckon bananas would be a good alternative as well. Just grab some overripe bananas (coz they are sweeter) and mash them up with a fork.

.: Review : Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow :.

The eye is the jewel of the body - Henry David Thoreau

The eyes are the amulets of the mind – William R Alger

A guy once told me that the most alluring body part of a girl is her *surprise, surprise* eyes! He said, in a very philosophical manner, that a person’s eyes are the window to his or her soul. And he went on and on about it, but I was too busy staring at some girl's long, sexy legs that I wasn't paying much attention anymore! (no, I'm most definately straight, but beauty are meant to be admired right? *teehee*)

Anyways, expanding on that, it’s no wonder that women are willing to invest time & money to install good “curtains”. Eyeshadows, mascaras, eyeliners, etc – all this products just on a lil bodypart, but then again, every lil details counts right?

Before I digress, let’s get back to the review of one of the products that frames and give colour to your eyes – eyeshadow. More specifically – Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow Siren #030!

Product Name : Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow Siren #030
Product Size : 2.4 gram
Retail Selling Price : RM14.90

My first thought upon receiving Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow was “Oh, how cute!

Packed in a small, travel-friendly sized compact, Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow has this really cute embossed signature Rimmel crown logo. Upon further inspection, I realised that the clear compact was a tad bit flimsy and delicate, and I reckon it wouldn’t last a week in my hurricane-messed handbag. It would have been great if the compact came in a slightly better quality. Also, I noticed that it doesn’t have an applicator brush, which would have been a bonus if they do, coz when you just wanna have a quick touch up, a readily available applicator brush would be perfect.

I took a test swab with my fingers and my initial assessment was that although the colour is richly pigmented, but it was not as intense as I thought it to be. It is not exactly in your bubble gum pink but more of a magenta pink (pink with a bit of a purplish undertone). I am impressed with the silkiness of the texture of this eyeshadow.

I used my eyeshadow brush to apply to the lid of my eyes, and using my fingers, started to blend it. I am again impressed with it blendability (is there even such a word?) and it doesn’t crease and it’s not too chalky.

With just one layer, the pink stands out just enough for one to notice that I have make up on, but still look au naturel as well (just the way I like to look for my daytime make up). To bring it to one that is suitable for nightwear and worthy to be called 'bold' as the product described, I increased the intensity by layering it a couple of times more. The pink colour really did stand out after about three layers, setting straight my initial judgement that the colour was not intense enough.

I was also happy with the fact that the eyeshadow could last for a reasonable number of hours, though the claim of 8 hours is stretching the facts a tad bit too far. Having said that, I believe that if I wear to wear some eyeshadow primer (which I usually don’t anyways), it would have lasted slightly longer.

There are two other colours - Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow Tempted (Blue) #020 (check out Isabel's review here) & Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow Envy (Green) #010 (check out Aisyah's review here) to choose from if pink is not your colour, so you might want to check it out!

.: Two More Weekends Before... :.

Two more weekends before I head into the gallows called “Year End”

It is such a dreadful thought that I feel like throwing my resignation letter everytime I think about it.

*breaths in, breaths out*

Well, I’ve sinked myself too deep to get out now, so might as well suck it in and endure this for perhaps the last time?

.: Review : Adidas Happy Game Deodorant Body Spray :.

Life is a game to be played and enjoyed!

Photobucket

That is the inspiration behind Adidas newest women’s fragrance, Happy Game joining with the other ranges of women fragrance from Adidas like Active Start, Fair Play, Fruity Rhythm, and more. The Happy Game fragrance is made for today’s dynamic young woman who is active and sporty, natural and feminine. And with her positive outlook on life, she’s always ready to take on the next great adventure.

Fret not if you do fall under that category; I don’t see myself as active, sporty or feminine for that matter, but I still believe that this deodorant is meant for all woman alike.

I love the packaging that it comes in, portraying a natural yet feminine feel. The vibrant sea-green makes one feel refreshed and with bright pink wordings to give this bottle a feminine touch. And of course the iconic Adidas logo placed on the top of the spray.

The spray bottle is pretty much like most deodorant spray, with a cap and a nozzle to press on. There was a lil click for the first use (that’s how you know that your bottle has not been used – I wanna say something crude, but let’s just leave it as it is for now! hehe!)

When I sprayed it on, I just fell in love with the fragrance!

It smells absolutely refreshing. One can detect the strong floral scent of freesia, dewy jasmine & flamboyant flower, but not overpowering. The modern blend of melon blossom, cranberry & sparkling Clementine sorbet gives a tinge of sweet & citrusy note to the scent that is light and again not overpowering so one don’t come out smelling like a car freshener. It has a sensual lingering lush base note of blond wood, solar musk & golden amber that can last for hours long. The above combination of top, middle & base note blends produces Happy Game & makes a happy me! :)

Retailing at RM 16.90 for 75ml in all major supermarkets & pharmacies near you, you may want to check out Adidas Happy Game Deodorant Body Spray.

.: Review : Organic Aid Vitamin E Facial Foam :.

If I had to isolate and choose just one type of vitamin for my skin care range, I would pick Vitamin E.

Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, which means it creates a layer of protection, protecting your delicate skin cells from the harmful UV lights, pollution and other damaging free radicals. Vitamin E also plays an important roll in the anti-aging of the skin, reducing both fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps reduces stretch marks and age spots. Vitamin E is often found in sunscreen as it not only prevents but also treats sunburn and hence it is claimed to play an important role in the prevention of skin cancer. It also aids in the treatment of various skin diseases or skin conditions as well as acne & surgical scars.

With the benefits of Vitamin E above, one would definitely have high expectations of Organic Aid Vitamin E Facial Foam, which contains 1000 I.U of Natural Vitamin E.

At the back of the tube, the product claims to be
1) Nourishing & gentle to the skin
2) Leaves your skin clean, silky soft & fresh after each wash

So I proceeded to squeeze just about ½ inch of foam into my hands, lathered it with water (just as what the instruction read). The thing is, this facial foam doesn't lather as much as the normal facial foam I've used thusfar, which is a good thing coz from my basic understanding, things (be it soap, shampoo or facial wash) that lather much ain't that good (anyone who has scientific reasons to back this up, feel free to drop a comment!) So anyways, with the facial foam lathered on the palm of my hand, I gave my good ol' face a couple of massaging stroke and then rinsed it off.

I must say that the scent is neutral, not too much perfumed (don’t you just hate it when they overdo with the fragrance bit?). It leaves my face feeling really fresh and clean. I love that this product is gentle to my skin and there was no traces of redness on my face (especially on my cheeks area). One has just got to love a gentle yet effective facial wash like this.

The best part I love bout this facial wash is that it is not drying to my skin. You see, I have really dehydrated skin and more often than not, when using other brands of facial wash, I have this drying effect that makes my skin dries and peels because its just too strong and strips away all the moisture. So, just to test this facial wash out, after my wash, I did not put any moisturizer on just to test the effect and guess what? My skin was not dry at all. Surprise, surprise!

Overall, I am definitely pleased with Organic Aid Vitamin E Facial Foam. It cleanses well and is gentle to my dehydrated skin, so retailing at only RM15.90 & being available at all major supermarts and pharmacies, I would definately repurchase Organic Aid Vitamin E Facial Foam!

.: Cinema, Cinema, Cinema :.

Been catching up a whole load of movies in the cinema of late. Here’s a one sentence summary of each movie (just coz I am so lazy of doing a full review! TeeHee)

1) X Men : First Class – For someone who has absolutely no clue bout the previous X Men movies, this show is rated first class! (ladies, spot a cameo appearance of Hugh Jackman!)
2) Kung Fu Panda 2 : The Kaboom of Doom - The top of my most anticipated movie of the year, I must say I absolutely enjoyed this movie, tho not as much as I did for Kung Fu Panda 1!
3) Hoodwinked Too : Good vs Evil – A blend of characters from your childhood stories that you read growing up; but with a very humorous & enjoyable twist!
4) Pirates of The Caribbean 4 : On Stranger Tides – Also in the list of one of the most anticipated movie of the year, I am pleasantly surprise that this movie is much enjoyable! #
5) Blitz – A British cop movie with a so-so movie plot (too abrasive IMHO) but a good movie to watch nonetheless.
6) Green Lantern – Notwithstanding the lame dialogue lines, this movie is not too bad and worth the watch. #

Ranking of the movies, in my humble opinion

1) > 2) > 4) > 6) > 5) > 3)

# Note : You may want to stay back and watch the credits for these movies! :)

.: Sometimes, I Wonder :.

Sometimes, I wonder if it was all worthwhile.

I put in so much effort, spend so much time and resources, but all I get is just, perhaps just ONE thanks.

It is sometimes so discouraging that I just feel like not putting in the effort to even try. I am not sure if I am even appreciated or even acknowledge. Don't even go to what was said behind my back. They may not know I know, but I just know.

Sometimes, I wonder if I was just taken for granted over and over again. When there are joys and ups, I am excluded for that circle. But when there are problems or issues or just plain needs, I am on their speed dial; and in the most pleasant, affectionate salutation, they refer to me.

Sometimes, I wonder if my sole existence is to be of service of them and expect nothing in return.

Sometimes, I wonder if the dreams I had the other day is me subconsciously telling me where I stood.

Sometimes, I wonder if what he said has any underlying truth to it.

Sometimes, I wonder if I have the perseverance to continue to keep the promise I made to Gramps.

Sometimes, I wonder what would it be like if I just let that promise go.

Sometimes, I wonder if I sometimes just wonder too much.

.: Emotional Sponge :.

Emotional sponge, that's what I am, or at least, that's what I was (I think?)

In the past, I couldn't understand why I am so emotionally wrung up when someone shares with me his/her problems. It is as tho as I am putting myself in their shoes, and experiencing the fear/anxiety/frustration/anger that they feeling (or perhaps much more). I just get emotionally wrung up and keep beating myself over and over again as if this is my problem to bear and solve. I soon realise that because of my genuine empathy I have towards these people, who are willing to open up and share with me their problems, that I became too caught up and hyper attuned to their problem and (in JC's words) allowed myself to carry the world's problem on my tiny shoulder.

Well, guess what?

I am no longer this person anymore, as I have made a decision (subconsciously) to let go of this and freed myself from unnecessary burden to carry. I no longer want to be an emotional sponge.

No, it doesn't mean that I lack empathy anymore. It just means that I come to terms with the fact that I am no superhero and I could never solve the 100 problems presented to me. So what I am doing instead is to cast all my burdens (and other people's as well) to the Lord. Afterall, the Lord has promised this in Matt 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest".

Easier said than done, but I am taking baby steps to detach myself from this unhealthy trait.

.: We'll Be Alright (Really?) :.

OH.JUST.THROW.A.GRANADE.AT.ME!

Now that the finalized year end timelines is out, I am absolutely terrified with the tight deadlines that I am gonna face. Due to the fact that there was a big merger in one of my subs (but thank goodness that we can just do a provisional goodwill for the year end and then complete the purchase price allocation in the next financial year) , as well as a few corporate exercise along the way, plus the fact that we have more FRS 7 disclosures (FRS 7 is an extension of FRS 139 & FRS 132, if you really want to know), plus additional reports required from the local authority, I am practically at my neck. Dread the fact that I will highly likely skip Church Camp this year (coz I most likely have to camp in office during weekends as well). There goes my life for the next few months, until at least the after my AGM and finishing up my 1st quarter announcement reports somewhere in October.

I know, may be gibberish or Elvish to some, but I just wanna rant.

Sigh, I wish I don't have to work - so that I can have my lazy days just singin' my lazy song! JC, why oh why did I marry you instead of a billionaire?

.: Decadent Chocolate Molten Lava Cake :.

Moelleux au Chocolat or Chocolate Lava or Chocolate Molten, call it whatever you want, I will love it eitherway. A rich, decadent chocolate dessert, that is chocolate soufflé-like all around, with ooey-gooey warm chocolate oozing out as you use your dessert spoon to scoop for a bite. Best served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce drizzled on top. The cold creamy vanilla ice cream, together with the warm chocolate centre makes the perfect contrast!

I tried this recipe during the weekend, and my cousins and brother were impressed with it, even JC, who is not a dessert person, enjoyed it. It was my first time trying out this recipe, and this is indeed an easy, fuss free recipe to follow that will impress your dinner guest nonetheless! My brother was particularly excited, coz many many moons ago (while he was still a student at IMU), he used to frequent this place called Fusion Haven, and boy did he and I enjoyed their chocolate lava!

At that time, it was a mystery to us how they manage do the middle chocolatey part, and we naively speculated that they either left a bar of chocolate in the middle for it to melt, or they injected some chocolate sauce post baking the cake. Now, mystery solved, and no, there's no need to get a syringe for this dessert!

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients (4 - 5 servings depending on ramekin size):

6 oz. Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate (or use your favorite 70% dark chocolate bar)
6 oz. Butter (diced, room temperature)
3 Eggs
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1/3 cup Flour
Some butter for the ramekins

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (200C)

2. Melt chocolate on low flame in ala bain-marie (double boiler). When melted, take of flame.

3. Stir into melted chocolate diced butter, until it melts.

4. In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar, until it starts to whiten.

5. Stir in melted chocolate and then the flour.

6. Butter 4-5 individual ramekins generously (you don't want your cake to be stuck if you intend to remove from the ramekin before serving, of course, another alternative is to serve it in the ramekin in itself), and pour in chocolate batter, until slightly about an centimeter from the top (leave a lil space as it will souffle up slightly)

6. Cook for about 10 minutes. You will know it’s done, when it looks cake-like on the top, but as you give it a lil jiggle, it is still wobbly.

7. Tip ramekins upside down onto dessert plates and serve. Use a knife and run along side if you find it difficult to nudge it out.

8. Voilà! Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Or eat it on it's own, warm from the oven!

.: Home Cooked Korean Food :.

Ok, so this Saturday, I am gonna whip up a meal for my parents coz it’s Father’s Day and all eatery outlet will definitely be sardine-packed and overly priced, (whoops, apparently it's not Father's Day this week, Father's Day falls on the 3rd week of June, so I'm 2 weeks in advance! Teehee!),so what better way than to have  but then again, nothing beats a good homecooked meal (nonetheless) prepared with lotsa TLC. Lol! :)

So, I’ve decided that the menu for the night would be:

1) Kimchi soup (Kimchi Jigae)
2) Kimchi pancakes (Kimchi Jeon)
3) Bulgogi beef
4) Chawanmushi

Bearing in mind that this is the FIRST time I am trying any of the above, I do hope that we don’t end up having to order Pizza Hut end of the day!

.: X-Men : First Class :.

Well, as a kid, I used to wish I had super powers. Sadly to say, after jumping down from a flight of stairs when I was about seven, I come to realize the hard way (when I say hard, I really mean *ouch!* hard) that I, unlike Superman, do not have the power to fly.

But, I was not deterred. I mean obviously I was not that stupid to try 'flying' again, but I believe I was special and did possess superpower.

And today, I had an ephihany and I believe that I have PSYCHIC POWERS! So I’m gonna try experimenting my super powers with a series of picture of X-Men : First Class and see if I can tell the whole movie storyline!

So Charles Xavier & Erik was sitting down for a game of chess.

Halfway, Charles had a vision.

Charles : Erik, I’m having visions.
Erik : Oh, really?

Charles : Yes, I see two people, a man and a woman. They are doing something.

Erik : Are they dating?

Charles, reading Erik’s mind, says “No no, not as how you are visualizing it. It’s a woman in a white catsuit and a man in a suit.

Erik: Like this? *visualizing*

Charles : No, they are not sitting down, they are standing up, in a Blue Room. Yes, yes a Blue Room like that!

Charles : Oh no, they created a FIRE Monster!

Erik: A FIRE Monster? Oh no, is the monster evil?

Charles : Yes, he is! And..... *gasp*

Charles : ...... he’s going to take over the world by burning Prince Alex! I can see it in my vision!

Erik: Oh no, we got to save the Prince! Hurry!

*Erik and Charles went to suit up*

Erik : Come on guys, I need your backup! Follow me, here this way!

But all his team mates just stood and watch!

Erik : Fine, I shall just have to kill Fire Monster myself!
*throws sand toward Fire Monster like a wimpy girl*

Erik : Die you monster! Die! Die! Die!

The Fire Monster, after he saw that ridiculous looking helmet that Erik was wearing, chuckled and laugh so hard, that when he gasped for air, he chocked on a fly and died.

And so, the world was saved, thanks to Erik! The End! :)

I just realized after writing this blog post that my only TWO super powers is that I’m SUPER CRAPPY & SUPER LAME! Lol!

But I love to be crappy & lame once in a while! Teehee!
