.: The Piano Guys :.

I was so mindblowned by the amazing piece by The Piano Guys that I just got to share it right here, right now.

The first Youtube that I watched & I was just blowned away!

Isn't this the awesomely amazing? Left me completely speechless!

Seriously crazy talented! I am still stunned with their awesomeness!

Who the heck are they?

The Piano Guys is an American music duo consisting of Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson. They became famous through YouTube, where they posted videos of renditions and mashes of popular songs accompanied by professional-looking video clips. In December 2011 they released their first album. Several of the group's YouTube videos have over 5 million views, with over 114.3 million total video views on The Piano Guys' YouTube Channel as of July 24, 2012. As of March 18, 2012, The Piano Guys are in the top 300 world-wide YouTube channels. Jon plays the piano [remember the infamous Love Story & Viva La Vida mash up?] & Steven plays the cello (both instrument not quite so conventionally played, if I may add).

.: Twit Twat :.

Snippets from my twitter to share

Kath : Another emergency! Operation clean house asap!
Brid : A pet rat?
Kath : No, a visiting aunt!

MLee : Stupid boyfriend. Hmph.
Kath : All of them are. Then, they'd be upgraded to stupid husband. Cycle of life. Haha.
MLee : Hahahaha wise words coming from the wise one with experience.

Brid : So @SMK has a habit of going out half naked and only putting on his shirt in the car when going out. Then, we met @Kath 's mom & bro.

.: Phuket 2012 :.

My very impromptu trip to Phuket a couple of weeks back.

.: Birthday Party For 5 :.

Mummy's birthday falls on 18th of March. Yes, I know, this is a long overdue-ed post, but as the saying goes, better late then never!

I decided to invite the parental & the sibling over for a homecooked meal.

As I was feeling a tad bit adventurous from my boring but safe *yawn* western cuisine, I decided to take my rudimentary culinary skill a notch up and go for a Greek themed meal instead.

Some pics I took of the meal I prepared that day.

Lemon & marinated grilled chicken; sausages; bread & vege sticks with dips

Salsa dip & ranch dip

Refreshing lemon mint mocktail & some red wine to go with the food

.: All American Breakfast :.

I am not usually a breakfast sort of person. Under normal circumstances, I can do without a breakfast (I know, not healthy and all, as breakfast is afterall the most important meal of the day). It's just that, because I am not a morning person, I am never up on time, hence, it's always a mad sprint from waking up to getting out of the door. I only visit the kitchen for a glass of water (too rush to even make myself a cup of milo).

But I do love a hearty breakfast nonetheless.

And my favourite, hands down, has got to be an all american breakfast.

So, one (it's gotta be a weekend) morning aeons ago (I finally got the time to look at my pics), I decided to whip myself some breakfast.

And, here's what I have conjured up.

I'll let the pics do most of the talking

Kath's version of an all american breakfast
Breakfast for two
Sauteed swiss brown mushroom in butter & garlic, homemade hash brown, rosemary focacia (from Ben's Independent Grocer, Publika), pork sausage (from S'wine deli, Publika), crispy fried bacon & scrambled eggs with homemade gravlax.

Heart-shaped pancakes with maple syrups & a bowl of fresh mixed fruits.

Note : I have got to improve on my photography skills (or lack thereof). Disappointed with myself for the lousy shots.

.: Our Life :.

Our life as a couple wasn't exactly a bed of roses. And even today, married for slightly more than a year, we are still learning to adapt to each other's idiosyncrasies. But the focus on us and our love isn't about highlighting all those disagreements. It's about the things we shared with each other that are so special to us.

Like how he sacrificed his loathe for durians because of their stench (I beg to disagree), went all the way to get me a Musang King, and painstakingly cut open it just to satisfy my cravings for durian. Like how he held my hand, and shed tears with me while watching the first five minutes of Pixar's UP. Like how he help me wash the dishes without being asked to. Like how we laugh over lame private jokes that don't even really make sense under normal circumstances. Like how we share and sing along with Youtube to songs from our childhood days. Like how we use to watch each other sleep and spend a few minutes staring at each other in the morning. Like how we still hold hands in the car and give little squeezes every now and then. Like how, without exchanging a word, we read each other's mind. Like how we share each other's secret, our hopes, dreams and fears. Like how I sometimes tease to say that I'm married to the village idiot, and he would laugh back and say that that would make me Mrs.Village Idiot! They say love isn't about finding the perfect person, but learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. And how happy am I to be in love and married to this imperfectly perfect husband!

Just to share something that I wrote early this year for a contest (which I didn't win by the way).

.: Let Me Let Go :.

.: Let Me Let Go : Faith Hills :.

I thought it was over, baby
We said our goodbyes
But I can't go a day without your face
Goin' through my mind

In fact, not a single minute
Passes without you in it
Your voice, your touch, memories of your love
Are with me all of the time

Let me let go, baby
Let me let go
If this is for the best
Why are you still in my heart
Are you still in my soul
Let me let go

I talked to you the other day
Looks like you make your escape
You put us behind, no matter how I try
I can't do the same

Let me let go, baby
Let me let go
It just isn't right
I've been two thousand miles
Down a dead-end road

Let me let go, darlin', won't you
I just gotta know, yeah
If this is for the best
Why are you still in my heart
Are you still in my soul
Let me let go

The lights of this strange city are shinin'
But they don't hold no fascination for me
I try to find the bright side, baby
But everywhere I look
Everywhere I turn
You're all I see

Let me, let me let go, baby, won't you
Let me let go
It just isn't right
I've been two thousand miles
Down a dead-end road

Oh, let me let go, darlin', won't you
I just gotta know
If this is for the best
Why are you still in my heart
Yeah, you're still in my soul, let me let go
Let me let go, let me let go

Dedicated to my friend who is goin thru a painful heartbreak. Time heals all wounds, be strong!
