The weather was great last night, thank you for asking.
JC will be having roasted BBQ chicken and steamed broccolis with carrots for lunch today. Oh, and Peanut Butter Mocha Brownies for dessert too, with enough to share around with his colleagues.
Tho, in my personal opinion, the brownies are nothing to shout about.
Sigh, here we go again, in pursuit of finding a better brownie recipe!

.: How's The Weather Today? :.
My husband’s lunch these days depends very much on the weather!
How you may ask?
You see, if it starts to rain say bout 3-ish in KL (when I say rain, I don’t mean rabbits and hamsters rain, I meant raining cats and dogs), there is NO WAY I am getting home in less than three hours.
THREE HOURS you ask? Is there a typo, you might even add?
No, I kid you not.
It took a colleague of mine an hour and a half to drive from my office to a location which is about a kilometer plus away or two just for the benefit of a doubt, which is only a ten minutes drive on any normal day.
And another colleague was stuck in Jalan Tun Razak for close to two hours – he switch off his car engine for half an hour, can you imagine?
I left office yesterday at 9.45pm. And reached home close to 10.30pm. Thankfully, it was smooth traffic all the way.
Hence, JC only get to have salad pasta (which I do not fancy no thanks to the cheapo pasta!)
Tonight, hopefully, it doesn’t rain. And hopefully, JC something better. And hopefully, he gets to bring some dessert to work too.
I am dying to try out this Mocha Peanut Butter Brownie adapted from Martha Stewart!
p/s : This is part of the damage the rain caused yesterday

.: This Lil Piggy Had Naan :.
Went to Steven’s Corner in OUG with Yin last night and had their famous Garlic Cheese Naan. It was oh-so-sinfully tasting with generous amount of mozzarella cheese and garlic topped with a slab of butter. Definitely a no-no for those who are on diet (thankfully I am NOT in that category anymore – hence I am ballooning day by day as my stomach and mouth takes control).
The tantalizing aroma of the butter on the warm naan coming straight from the oven was too good to resist that Yin (who did not know what to order still) decided to order another one – but choose the sweet Raisin Cheese Naan Special.
To me, a good mamak is one that not only makes excellant roti-s, thosai-s, naan-s and whats-not well, but also the accompanying dhal or curry sauce.
For this case, I would give Steven’s Corner an A+ for their Garlic Cheese Naan and an A- for their dhal. Fish & chicken curry would be a B- for me, as I find it just a tad bit too lack-of-spice for my liking. The Raisin Cheese Naan didn’t tickle my fancy, so I would skip that the next time I am there.
BTW, it is my *gasp* FIRST TIME there of my 25 years living in PJ. I know, shocker right?
And, another GASP is what we saw later.
While this dude, who was single-handedly maning the Naan station, was fishing out the naan from the oven, one of it fell on the floor. I gasp out loud (and I think he might have heard me). He picked it up, and put it aside (on the table) and still proceeds to fish out the remaining naans from the oven. He then applies a spread of butter on top of each naan and started to serve to the customers. As I was sitting down, I could not see if he had also served the naan that had fallen. I hoped not, but my fears were confirmed when my cousin stood up and told me that there were no naans to be found on the station’s table.
Oh dear! -.-
And to make things worse, I am having a tummy ache this morning. My imagination is running wild on the possibilities of what ‘contaminated’ my naan (if it was caused by the naan to begin with) and it is giving me goosebumps all over.
But still. I won’t hesitate going back there. The Garlic Cheese Naan is waayyyy to tempting!
But the naan dude is going to be under VERY close scrutiny when he prepares MY naan!

Yesterday, I ‘lost’ my wallet.
Today, I ‘found’ it back where it was all the while – in my office table drawer.
And now JC is nagging me for being so absent minded and causing so much fuss last night.
p/s : Yin, I found the external hard drive, but still no Hachiko CD in sight!
pp/s : Tam, I still can’t find my camera’s memory stick! Arg!
ppp/s : Apparently Shyang manage find and download a movie I was looking for all these while – The Joy Luck Club. *jumps for joy*

.: Elevator Goes Up, Elevator Come Down :.
Elevator goes up
Elevator come down
And you just go with the flow
Until your feet are back on the ground
It's an endless ride
Sometimes it takes you up
Sometimes it tears you down inside
But it's the butterflies
That keep you feeling so alive, so alive
You gotta get back that high
-David Arculeta-
I went over to Standard Chartered building (read here for my first time), and still I felt the same ol thing.
This is really getting out of hands as I realised that I cannot go anywhere above 20 floors without freaking out! Same goes for the time I went to Petronas Towers for a lunch!
I suppose this is the same fear my bro feels while on board a place.
Sweaty palms, excelerating heartbeats, faint spell....
Gosh, thank goodness its only a few seconds 'ride' or I would have definately fainted!

.: Life After Marriage and Project Wallaby :.
Yesterday, after work, I went grocery shopping, cooked today’s packed lunch for JC and myself (consisting of stir-fry beef slices in black pepper sauce, stir-fry cauliflower and carrots in garlic and some garlic oil rice), cooked dinner (Maggie mee – coz we weren’t really that hungry teehee!) when JC reached home at 10pm (record breaking – coz he’s always back after 2am almost everyday), boiled some herbal drink, did the laundries, read finish The Innocent Man, purchased a top (online shopping rawks!) and went to bed close to 2am.
Woke up this morning feeling as sleepy as ever.
Oh yeah, our PR application (from hereon known as Project Wallaby) is going on pretty well. If all things run smoothly, we will have our PR before June! :)
And oh yeah, I will be the “official photographer” at Aunty Irene’s birthday party this Sunday. Terror merror right to be called as such? Teehee! (Syoik sendiri) OK, will put my newly acquired lens to the test! :)

.: Dream A Lil Dream For Me :.
Stars shining bright above you,
Night breezes seems to whisper I love you,
Birds signin’ in the sycamore tree,
Dream a lil dream of me.

.: My Soon-To-Be New Toy :.
I am (very likely unless something/someone changes my mind) getting this baby tomorrow!
It's a Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G Lens.
Puny compared to the toys the big boys are playing, but considering it will burn a considerably huge hole in my pocket, it is really a sleep-overnight-to-decide decision for me.
Anyways, to more better pictures in the future. Cheers! :)
